These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Mosdos Technology Office platform ("Platform", "Service", "we", "us", "our"), operated by Mosdos Technology Office (MTO), London, United Kingdom. By creating an account, accessing, or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms in full. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
MTO provides a technology compliance management system designed for Jewish orthodox communities ("kehillas") in London. The Platform enables community members to register their technology devices, undergo compliance verification, and receive approval certificates from their community leadership.
The Platform is intended for members of Jewish orthodox communities in London. You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account. Each family household should register one account that covers both spouses.
During registration, you must provide:
You must verify your email address by clicking the verification link sent to your primary email. Unverified accounts have limited functionality. Verification links expire after 24 hours; you may request a new link.
After registration, you must complete your family profile, including:
Certain features, including the technology declaration form, are unavailable until your profile is marked as complete.
You may optionally sign in using Google OAuth. If you use Google sign-in, we receive your Google email and basic profile information. You must still complete the full MTO profile before accessing restricted features.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use. We implement rate limiting (5 login attempts per 15 minutes) to protect accounts. Passwords are hashed using Argon2id and are never stored in plain text.
The Form is the central feature of the Platform. It consists of four sections that must be completed in order:
You must select the kehilla to which you belong. Your kehilla determines which questions appear on the Form, what settings apply to your devices, and the pricing for your submission. Each kehilla may independently enable or disable questions regarding: sticker requirements, SMS capability, purpose of use (per device type: smartphone, home PC, tablet), reason for not using a tablet, office location, and IMEI submission.
For each basic phone, you must specify the phone model (selected from the approved catalogue or entered as "Other"), ownership (husband, wife, or household), and answer conditional follow-up questions if both the phone model's settings and your kehilla's settings require them. These may include:
You may also select "None" (no basic phone), "I use a smartphone as my basic phone", or "Other" with a text description.
For each technology device, you must provide:
The Form auto-saves your progress every time you change an input field. If you close your browser and return later, your data will be restored. Auto-saved data is stored as structured JSON and is replaced by final form submissions.
Submitting the Form initiates the compliance review process. Upon submission:
You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all information provided. Providing false or misleading information may result in form rejection and additional review requirements.
If you have submitted a previous form, the system will pre-fill your existing devices in Section 3 and ask if you still have each device. Changing information on an existing device will set that device back to "pending verification" status.
After submission, your form progresses through the following possible statuses:
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Pending Kehilla Approval | Awaiting review by your kehilla admin |
| Pending User Tasks | You have tasks to complete (set by community rules) |
| Pending Community Task | Your kehilla admin has tasks to review |
| Pending Admin Task | A system administrator has tasks to process |
| Pending Payment | Payment has not yet been completed |
| Pending Device Verification | Administrators are verifying your devices |
| Approved | All checks passed — certificate issued |
| Rejected | Form rejected by kehilla admin (with reason provided) |
Your kehilla admin reviews your submitted form, including all device declarations. They may approve or reject your form. Rejection includes a written reason which will be emailed to you.
The Platform uses a rules engine configured by master administrators. Rules evaluate the data in your form and may trigger:
Tasks can be reassigned between administrators with a required explanatory note. All task actions are logged.
Administrators verify each non-basic device by:
If a device cannot be verified (e.g., filter email not found), it is rejected. You will receive an email to your primary email, husband's email, and wife's email containing a unique update link. This link allows you to update the filter email, kehilla, or add a note. The link does not expire.
If both your phone model and kehilla require IMEI verification, an administrator will verify the IMEI you submitted against the actual device IMEI. If they do not match, the device is rejected and you receive an update link to correct the IMEI.
Administrators may flag specific websites, apps, or content categories found on your devices. When items are flagged:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending | Awaiting administrator verification |
| Verified | Device passed all checks |
| Rejected | Device failed verification; update link sent |
| Pending Client Update | Awaiting your response to a rejection |
| Pending Client Response | Awaiting your response to flagged items |
| Pending Kehilla Response | Awaiting kehilla admin decision on escalated items |
| Override | Administrator bypassed verification (exceptional cases) |
Important: Your form cannot be approved until all devices have a status of "Verified" or "Override".
Each kehilla sets its own compliance fees, which may include:
Prices may be set in multiple currencies (GBP, EUR, USD, ILS) as determined by your kehilla.
Payments are processed securely through Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. We do not store your credit card details on our servers. You will be redirected to Stripe's secure checkout page to complete payment.
Refund requests should be directed to your kehilla administration. Refund eligibility is determined on a case-by-case basis and is at the discretion of the kehilla. Technical fees are non-refundable if the compliance process has been initiated.
If your payment fails, is reversed, or is not completed as required, we reserve the right to suspend or block access to filter-related services, including but not limited to device verification, compliance certificate issuance, and filter monitoring. We may also suspend your account and revoke previously issued certificates until payment is successfully completed. It is your responsibility to ensure payment methods are valid and have sufficient funds.
When your form is fully approved (all devices verified, all tasks completed, payment received, kehilla admin approved), a technology compliance certificate is generated. The certificate includes:
The certificate is emailed to your primary email as a PDF attachment and is also available for download in your dashboard.
Certificates are valid for one Hebrew year from the date of issuance. After expiry, you must submit a new form and undergo the compliance process again to receive a renewed certificate.
